This rooftop, design by Patrick Jouin is an Ephemere restaurant on the top floor of the Galleries Lafayette. To get there, you have to go through the 7 floors of the Galleries Lafayette, which can be very difficult for a shopaholic! On the roof, you are in one of the best spot to see Paris. In fact, the view is almost the same as the Deli-cieux. The restaurant is very good. The chef used to work with Alain Passard, Michelin’s 3 stars restaurant (l’Arpège).
Terrasse des Galeries Lafayette
Les Jardins Plein Ciel
Tucked away on the 7th floor of one of the parisian palaces, this rooftop offers panoramic views over the French capital city. A cold buffet and grilled dishes cooked on the barbecue are served both lunch and dinner in the summer months. An exceptional place, with the extra appeal of teak furniture and a giant chessboard, created as a tribute to Leonard Tauber, founder of the Chess Club of France.
The W Bar Terrace
Located on the top floor of the Warwick Hotel, near the Champs Elysées, this rooftop is just open during summer.
Le Georges
Either inside or outside, the restaurant is unique in Paris. It has an amazing view of the Notre Dame Cathedral, City Hall and some others famous places. This is a great place to have a drink afterwork, after an exibition (like the ones you can find at the Centre Georges Pompidou…), or just to impress your friends!
Le café de l’Homme
The Café de l’Homme is the right place to seat. The dinning-room has a trendy and nice decoration; in spring and summer, the terrace offers an amazing view on the Eiffel Tower, the Trocadero and the “Ecole Militaire”. For your information, a lot of French and International famous people love going there in the day…
Mama shelter
This hotspot hotel is the product of an alliance between interior design star Philippe Starck and the founders of Club Med. The rooftop is simply the best place in Paris to enjoy sun with a cocktail! Too bad this place is not any more open to public… Last year, it was barbecue, cocktail and music all day long, now it’s private, for hotel’s guest only. So if you’re looking for a place to stay in Paris with a great rooftop, it should be here!
Café Richelieu
Not the best place to party… but certainely a unique view of the Louvre’s Pyramid and the Tuilleries garden. You need to buy an entrance ticket for the museum to get in. Don’t buy a ticket just for this rooftop, we are not sure it’s woth it…
Le Deli-Cieux
On the 9th floor of Printemps de la Maison (housewares) there is this terrific self-service café with an outdoor terrace , commanding spectacular views of the city. Upon reaching the top, the views at Déli-cieux will stop you in your tracks. High but not too-high atop the city center, it’s possible from this terrace to see all of the familiar sights without the distance afforded by the more familiar viewing platforms at the Eiffel Tower & Sacre Coeur. The beauty of Paris feels “proche”.
Les Ombres
The Musée du Quai Branly offers two options: Café Branly on the garden level and a restaurant, Les Ombres, on the Rooftop (both independantly accessible). Seated on this terrace, you will enjoy the view of the Eiffel Tower, the Trocadero, the Seine river, etc. We can just regret that this huge place is not exploited to its full potential. A bon entendeur…
Zyriab by Noura
The Zyriab is a rooftop located on top of Institut du monde arabe in the lovely 5th district, by the Seine river. It offers a wide and quality view on major Parisian monuments such as Beaubourg, Bastille, Notre Dame, etc. Zyriab serves Lebanese food and oriental specialties.
