Shoreditch House
Shoreditch House is a private members’ club located in the heart of Shoreditch, East London and is approximately a 10 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station. The Lounge is a space for members to eat and drink, adjacent to the Pool area and set around a large open fire. Breakfast is available from 7am – noon and the Roof Menu from noon – 11pm.
Based in a former tea warehouse, it created a whirl of anticipation before it even opened and has swiftly established itself as one of London’s top spots for people who want to see and be seen. Inside this chic, urban space you’ll find an indulgent Cowshed spa, an onsite bowling alley, a heated rooftop pool, as well as an excellent bar. So grab a cocktail and soak up the superb views of the City of London, comfortable in the knowledge that currently there are few other spots in the capital quite as glamorous as this.
FYI, Membership range from £700 to £1200, plus a registration Fee (First year only) of £200. Please go to the website for more informations.
Bar d’Eau
Open seasonally, Bar d’Eau has an outdoor landscaped 6,000-square-foot Pool Deck with a blue Italian mosaic-lined lounge pool with a cascading waterfall as well as three private cabanas (perfect spot for a tête-à-tête). You will also find a Bocce ball court that proves lawn bowling isn’t just for crotchety old guys in Bryant Park. As the sun sets, it is an ideal place to enjoy al fresco cocktails above the city streets. Located on the seventh floor deck, Bar d’Eau’s views aren’t as spectacular as some of it’s midtown competition, but the bar itself keeps the atmosphere just as swank.
The Joule
The rooftop café invites guests to relax on the sprawling pool decks, where chic attendants, outfitted by celebrated designer Abi Ferrin, serve up creative cocktails including the Blossom, Tangerine Mojito, Cucumber Sage Margarita, the Arnie, Watermelon Sangria, and Grape Cooler.
Plunge at Gansevoort South
Located just north of South Beach on Collins Avenue, this hip incarnation of New York’s Ganesvoort hotel plays host to Miami’s hottest rooftop party. Just like its sister in the Big Apple, this place revolves around the huge rooftop infinity pool. Relax on the chic white lounge chairs or curl up in a cabana to soak in the stunning ocean and city views.
It’s the weekend nights and Saturday pool parties — when the crowds, $900 bottles and DJs come out — that the hotel’s roof becomes Plunge, a money making venue marketed as “the country’s largest rooftop adults-only playground”. Strong, sexy cocktails, smooth beats, and a scene that rivals some clubs in south beach.
Club 50 at Viceroy
Perched atop Icon Brickell/Viceroy’s 50th floor, C-50 is a low-slung, “semi-private” lounge decked out in marbled floors and turquoise leather sofas, and sporting an outdoor pool (highest in city) and bar area
“Semi-private” means the club’s technically for residents and hotel guests, but you can most likely slide in by eating at the 15th-floor resto, then getting the maitre to put you on the special elevator; or, apply for (free) membership by emailing the address: Club50@ViceroyMiami.com
Splash at Oscar Pool Club
This rooftop offers a “splash” pool, which is very, very tiny… but still refreshing when it’s 40°c! Then, when the rooftop closes, you can still party in its downstairs bar till late
Aera Bar y Terraza
This rooftop is divided in two levels. The first one has a pool, while the upper level lets guests gather around its outdoor fireplace. Both allow a generous glimpse of the capital city, including a view of the massive national flag that flutters majestically from a tall pole in the distance. As at La Terraza at Condesa, the drinks are generously sized, if a bit pricey. DJs are part of the “party” at the end of the week…
