Café Delux
The roof terrace of Swisshotel Metropole is located next to the Geneva Lake, and it offers a 360 degrees view of Geneva. There are tables on each side, the ones on the right are comfy lounge chairs, and the others are high tables with chairs. The DJ booth is in the middle, and at the end of the terrace you have the bar. The place is often packed, so a table reservation is highly recommended to get in. It is with no doubt one of the best spot of Geneva to have a drink and to meet people. Enjoy !
Top of the Strand
This rooftop has been Designed by Lydia Marks and picked up on the retractable roof trend (two others had opened this year). This roof allows the bar to be open all round year. Panels will slide open during the bar’s inaugural summer to let the breeze in.
Angels & Kings
Angels & Kings Barcelona has a large terrace with a swimming pool, where guests can enjoy cocktails, tapas, beautiful views and a stylish, glamorous open-air atmosphere.
Its design is contemporary, electrifying and Victorian, with vintage style décor and furniture. Furthermore, crystal candelabra selected by Pete Wentz help to create a modern, romantic and unique atmosphere.
The venue has a stage that is the focal point for spontaneous presentations and the legendary Angels & Kings Karaoke battle.
Angels & Kings offers a dynamic atmosphere through its clientele of jetsetters, professionals and Barcelona residents.
Upstairs
Upstairs is a little stunner lounge perched atop Midtown’s Kimberly Hotel. This rooftop is enjoyable in summer and in winter with its retractable roof.
This rooftop is one of those places that lets you look upon the grandeur of Midtown and remember why you chose to live in this city. Stepping out among potted flowers and black wicker furniture, beneath a crisscross of exposed lightbulbs strung overhead, you have just entered the sort of garden party that rarely happens within view of the Chrysler Building.
Skyline Bar
Perched atop an immaculately restored mill that is now home to the Hilton Molino Stucky Hotel, Skyline Bar is a light and airy lounge that serves exquisite fruit and herb cocktails complemented by excellent views of the city. It’s lovely by day and very romantic at night, with the lights of Venice twinkling on the water. . There’s an extensive cocktail list and although it’s expensive, the bar’s two terraces are a lovely place to linger with a early evening drink. Take a public boat (nearest stop Palanca) or the hotel’s shuttle service to the Giudecca island.
Bar d’Eau
Open seasonally, Bar d’Eau has an outdoor landscaped 6,000-square-foot Pool Deck with a blue Italian mosaic-lined lounge pool with a cascading waterfall as well as three private cabanas (perfect spot for a tête-à-tête). You will also find a Bocce ball court that proves lawn bowling isn’t just for crotchety old guys in Bryant Park. As the sun sets, it is an ideal place to enjoy al fresco cocktails above the city streets. Located on the seventh floor deck, Bar d’Eau’s views aren’t as spectacular as some of it’s midtown competition, but the bar itself keeps the atmosphere just as swank.
La terrasse Cuisine & Lounge
Located in a quiet street just steps from the hustle and bustle of the Via Veneto, this wrap-around terrace atop the former palazzo of the Ludovisi-Boncompagni family, boasts the most breathtaking views you’ll find anywhere in Rome, looking over the Villa Borghese and beyond. It’s beautifully decorated with comfortable seating and an expanded bar menu, featuring a nice wine selection, malt whiskeys, iced teas. The rooftop is open from morning till night, making it a perfect place for a late morning coffee, light lunch, an apperitivo or an after-dinner drink. When night falls on the Eternal City, the hotel’s terrace provides its customers with a shawl to keep warm.
During the summer months, they offer happy hours, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Gaja Sky Bar

Terrace at Trump Hotel
Opened in June 2009, A sophisticated outdoor oasis showcasing superb fine dining amidst the iconic views of Chicago’s dramatic landscape is The Terrace at Trump. This terrace lounge on the sixteenth floor of the Trump Tower boasts one of the best alfresco views in the city.
Thanks to a boomerang-shaped bar facing the terrace’s edge, guests can relish in the summer sun while taking in vistas that are quintessentially Chicago including the Wrigley Clock Tower, Lake Michigan, Chicago River, and also enjoy Navy Pier’s seasonal fireworks on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. A brief food menu includes salads, ceviche, gourmet sliders and skewers.
Panorama Terrace
It’s the city highest open air lounge of Berlin. On top of the Park Inn Berlin Hotel, this roof top is very impressive. There’s nothing around that high, so you have a 360° view of Berlin. A place to go for a drink with your date. You will also find The Casino Bar 37 on the hotel’s 37th floor which offers cocktails, all the specialties of an international bar until 2AM. You will have to pay an entrance fee (3€). Sometimes they organize based jump from the roof, impressive!
Les Jardins Plein Ciel
Tucked away on the 7th floor of one of the parisian palaces, this rooftop offers panoramic views over the French capital city. A cold buffet and grilled dishes cooked on the barbecue are served both lunch and dinner in the summer months. An exceptional place, with the extra appeal of teak furniture and a giant chessboard, created as a tribute to Leonard Tauber, founder of the Chess Club of France.
The Backyard
The Backyard, a 6000-square foot idyllic outdoor play place, is part of the Langham Place hotel. This place is not on top of the Langham Place Hotel, but it’s one of the best outdoor place to have a drink after work.
Chill-out in outdoor lounges framed by swaying palms, kick back in cabanas with savoury bites and scintillating summer libations, and get into the groove on the dance floor as you take in the stellar sounds, in a night that will take your breath away!
Skye Restaurant & Bar
The Unique Hotel is shaped like a giant boat, very impressive! The elevator takes you up 8 floors to the rooftop. The roof is full of places to sit and is surrounded by a glass wall which shows the stunning Sao Paulo skyline. There’s also an open air pool, which is reserved for hotel guests during the day but is open to all at night, from 7PM.
DJs entertain with house music after 9PM to an international crowd. The scene is definitely more L.A. than Sao Paulo, down to the extravagant if not bizarre drinks like the wasabi martini, with Hollywood prices to match. An elevator providing a direct access to the bar gives a magnificent panoramic ride to the top.
La Terraza at Condesa DF
Opened in 2005, This bar is know as the best rooftop in town. The Condesa DF is built around a triangular open–air atrium with a sunny patio restaurant and breezy rooftop terrace. This super-chic hotel has a rooftop like no others. It is a paradise for some cocktails, overlooking the lush Parque España. There also is a club in the basement of the Hotel.
The Gramercy Park Hotel
One of the most beautifull Rooftop of NYC, but also very expensive. Almost no music when there is no party… It’s a shame, because it could be one of the best rooftop in New York. The other amazing thing you will find there is prices! $15 a glass of wine, what the f**k!
