Here’s one “point of view” (for which the bar’s name – POV – stands for) that DC politicos and power brokers can finally agree upon: the W Washington, D.C.’s rooftop terrace affords unrivalled panoramas of our nation’s capital, from the energized East Wing of the White House to the evocative Washington Monument, National Mall, and Jefferson Memorial. Reborn from the same space of the former Hotel Washington’s famed Sky Terrace, the balcony bar now features sexy red-velveteen banquettes and black-and-white cushioned day beds. Be prepared for long lines at this stylish hot spot, where a speakeasy-themed drink menu by acclaimed New York City bar owner Sasha Petraske complements the scenery. Indoors, an upscale lounge for DC’s elite features nightly DJs and light tapas fare with a menu designed by master chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten; floor-to-ceiling windows frame the iconic views.

An ultra cool venue for music, cinema, or just sunny boozing, this bar sits atop the Thai bar and restaurant, Cookie, on a six story 1920’s building in central Melbourne.
Naturally, the success of a session at the Rooftop Bar is subject to weather conditions as, with the exception of umbrellas and gas heaters, it isn’t protected against the elements. Restricted opening hours and menus operate during the off-season but both are expanded for the summer months; past menu highlights include a yakitori grill and sweet & savoury crepes courtesy of the team behind Concorde Crepes.
Be warned, from November to March the Rooftop Cinema takes over, and access to the roof is restricted to ticket holders after 8:00pm.

The outdoor rooftop terrace features red king-size waterbeds paired with huge umbrellas for sunbathers and shade-seekers alike. At night the rooftop transforms into one of South Beach’s hottest social scenes, with rocking roof parties Friday and Saturday nights.
Friday nights are hosted by Erica Freshman and Zack Bush, and bring in a young, chill crowd looking to relax under the stars in a posh setting. The rooftop lounge is both romantic and stimulating, making it the ideal place to bring a date, or a great spot to meet your next one.

2 indoor floors, each with its own DJ, dance floor, bar and lounge PLUS a rooftop area with a bar and seating areas. Everyone working here is always super friendly and both staff and customers are untypically attitude free.
